Knowing how to advocate for your child is an essential skill for any parent, especially for parents with a child who has medical needs or special needs.  Children do not come with owners manuals, so it is nice to find a step by step guide on how to become a successful advocate for your child. I have teamed up again with Karima at Mama in the Mix for a 5 Step Guide to Parent Advocacy.

This 5 Step Guide is the second post of a three-part blogging series on Advocacy for Mama in the Mix.  The first post discusses what a squeaky wheel and advocacy have in common (Read it here).  The final post will be added soon, and it will explain how to teach your child the vital skill of self-advocacy.
